Valley Isle Dry Cleaners ("we", "us") runs a dry cleaning and laundry shop at 180 E Wakea Ave, Suite F, Kahului, HI 96732. This policy explains what customer information we keep, why, and what we do with it.
Information we collect
- Contact details you give us at the counter or by phone: name, phone number, email address, and for delivery or commercial accounts, a street address.
- Order records: ticket numbers, garments, services, prices, pickup and delivery dates, and notes about your items (for example, a stain to treat).
- Payment records: amount, date and payment type. Card payments are processed by our card processor; we do not store full card numbers.
- Website: this site has no sign-up forms and uses no advertising or tracking cookies. Our web host may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and reliability.
How we use it
- To process, track and return your orders, and to contact you about them.
- To send order notifications by text message or email, if you have agreed to receive them (see below).
- To bill commercial accounts and send statements.
- To keep business, tax and accounting records required by law.
We do not sell, rent or trade customer information.
Text messages (SMS)
If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts at the counter or by phone, we will send you order notifications, such as when your order is ready for pickup or out for delivery. Message frequency varies with your orders. Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for help, or call (808) 877-4111.
- Agreeing to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase or service.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except the service providers that deliver the messages for us (such as our SMS provider and the wireless carriers).

Who we share information with
Only the service providers we need to run the shop, and only for that purpose: our text message provider (Twilio), our email provider (Google Workspace), our card processor, and our accountant. We may also disclose information if required by law.
How we protect it
Customer records are kept on our own point-of-sale system at the shop, which is access-controlled by staff PIN, and backups are kept on encrypted or offline drives. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit access to the staff who need it.
How long we keep it
We keep order and payment records for as long as needed for tax and accounting purposes. You can ask us to remove your contact details from our customer list at any time, except records we must keep by law.
Your choices
- Stop text messages by replying STOP, or ask us at the counter.
- Ask to see, correct or delete the contact details we hold about you.
Children
Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page with a new "last updated" date.
